O(en it's the ar9sts, architects, writers and designers who can shepherd projects of the past and
breathe life into them. They're the storytellers who ensure legacies live on. They're also the ones
who can take a corner lot on Nyack's bustling North Broadway and give it the romance reminiscent of
a Dutch garden yet maintain a casual elegance that will make you want to linger on the lawn.
Miriam Wexler did just that in the 1950s when she purchased the house she would call home for a
life9me. Hailing from The Hauge she infused a Dutch spirit into the house with fine cra(smanship,
details and landscape design.
"Everything here started with Miriam," says Pat Esgate, the current owner who lovingly restored
the home and gardens a(er Miriam's passing. "I came for the estate sale and ended up buying the
