Queue MAkERSHIP, Collier's next career endeavor, and for him the reason ARCH does what they do. MAkERSHIP
will be a nonprofit taking many of the services at Arch and pu7ng them on a tall ship, the likes of which Collier grew
up
sailing out of kingston, Ontario. The ship will have facili5es for up to 150 people, and would have onboard work-
shops where par5cipants can learn carpentry, welding, budget planning, and teamwork. Collier says the collapse of
the Francis Sco6 key bridge in Bal5more is an example where MAkERSHIP would have applied their tools.
The Sea Shepherd Conserva5on Society, a nonprofit marine conserva5on organiza5on out of Washington, is a big in-
spira5on
for Collier, and hopes to form MAkERSHIP into the ar5st-fabricators of such a group. "Badass ar5st-fabrica-
tors on a sailing vessel, going places with all the tools, training, and skillsets to solve problems and to teach."
ARCH is a crea5ve design studio with state of
the art 23,000 s/f fabrica5on facili5es
streamlining ideas from render to reality
