at home because surely it would be delicious on literally everything.
The main course menu reads like a map of local farms and always reflects
the freshest of what's in season. With nostalgic flavors like sweet corn in
summer (the sweet corn ice cream is a flavor you'll dream about all year
un3l you can have it again next summer) or roasted Pine Island chestnut
soup in winter, it's clear that Thompson's passion is in seeking out the high-
est quality ingredients and using them as the pale4e to his culinary canvas.
Thompson is also an avid mushroom forager. You'll find that an array of
hand-picked varie3es make it to the menu. Not to be missed is the Grand
Tas3ng menu offered every evening or the monthly wine pairing dinners. Be
sure to leave room for dessert; the coconut layer cake is so sought a$er by
diners that it remains a staple on the menu. And if you're lucky, before you
re3re for the night, you may just get a hand-cra$ed Glenmere chocolate.
With sunflower seeds, estate honey and chocolate, it's the perfect blend of
earthy sweet goodness, just as the landscape and this locale intended this
whole experience to be.
