Raised in Nyack, Chuck Loeb is a worldwide icon, recognized for his contem-
porary jazz music. His credits include composing at least a dozen number one
hits — his latest on his 2007 album Presence. In addition to writing hundreds
of songs and seventeen solo CDs, he has performed on movie soundtracks, in-
cluding You've Got Mail and has created numerous commercial jingles and
television theme songs. His CNN theme (with a James Earl Jones voice-
over) has been cited as one of the most recognized in television news.
Today, he's at the pinnacle of his career touring the globe with Four-
play, one of the world's premier jazz bands. "I'm playing exactly
the kind of music I want to play. It doesn't get any better than this.
You can't beat it with a stick," he says. He's been with Fourplay
for less than a year and they've already released Let's Touch the
Sky, an album which has rocketed to the top of the charts.
