Paul Bigsby's Triple Neck Pedal Steel Guitar. It
was a sonic success and a sight to behold. The
bird's-eye maple body was fitted with three tiered
necks in an 8-string, 10-string, 8-string configura-
tion, three pedals, and a built-in ashtray. Coy Mar-
tin (shown) played it to perfection. Christie's last
year the bidding was brisk. Estimated at $3-4,000,
it was sold for $11,875.00.
