38 HOOK P arenting r t f A Easy Prac2ces For Coming Home To Ourselves & Our Children c There is a quiet remembering that happens again and again in our lives inside our homes, inside our children, and inside our own hearts. Something in us is always longing to move, to feel, to connect, and to return to balance. Par- en2ng taught me that this isn't about perfect rou2nes or calm days. It's nervous system wis- dom. It's the body whispering: pause, so#en, come back to center. When my children were li3le, this showed up through wiggly bodies, tender emo2ons, and the constant need to reset throughout the day. I remember standing in the kitchen during those ordinary, chao2c moments, toys on the floor, breakfast half- eaten, someone already overwhelmed. I began to realize that balance isn't something we reach and hold onto. It's something we prac2ce gen- tly, imperfectly, together. Text by Dana Daly Photography by Tom Daly
