30 HOOK
For a truly special cocktail, The
Fed offers a Greek Mastika Mojito
recipe. Harkening from the Greek
Island of Chios, whose famous cit-
izens the poet Homer and mathe-
matics inventor Hippocrates in
Ancient Greece, savored the de-
light of Mastika liquor, made from
the edible resin of the rare Chios
Pine. Six villages carefully guard
the trees and the farmers tending
them, since this particular tree
specimin grows only in the south-
ern part of the island — nowhere
else in the world. Salut and enjoy
this holiday season!
