Goran named the io Art Center a&er the Greek Goddess Io, who started out as one of Zeus' doomed lovers and ended up as
a moon goddess. "Io was a li6le bit mysterious, which I think fits the building, because the building itself is a li6le bit mysteri-
ous," he says. "You walk inside and you find yourself in a place where it's very welcoming."
In its short 5me as an art hub, the io Art Center has already hosted a number of eclec5c shows, from European ar5sts to a
local graffi5 ar5st to music concerts, film programs, and more. Goran is in the process of adding an art cafe and a store with
plans to make the space available for outside events... becoming an extraordinary des5na5on. In fact, he has already started
se7ng up an invi5ng outdoor area and has begun the en5re restora5on of the exterior of the building, bringing back its glory.
