They also have been in town long enough to have seen the evolving demographics of the area and how that has helped support the rise of restaurant row and the many new boutiques that have opened in recent years. "The more shops the better," says O'Connor. "It establishes Warwick as a destination." And in Or- ange County where things can often be spread out and dis- tanced, to have a concentration of shops, eateries, and everything in between in the heart of Warwick is a win-win for both patrons and owners. The business partners bring balance; Grzegorzewski is often the exhuberant extrovert while O'Connor is a bit reserved and handles more of the back-end business operations. "We're both Geminis," says O'Connor. "We complement each other and encourage each other to break beyond any boundaries we may have." For O'Connor that was being in the spotlight, but Grzegorzewski coaxed her to do things like appear in a social media series Marta for Men and Night Out with Nikki, be a guest on a radio show and even be featured as an extra in a short film that used the boutique for the backdrop. "We thought it was going to be a business, but it ended up being so much more," adds O'Connor. "It's a lifestyle and life experi- ence." For Nikki Grzegorzewski, co-owner of Vellvette Boutique, her oming soon is an in-house café complete with a piano and lounge seating.
