Built in 1865, this historic house sits approximately a quarter mile from the Hudson River with the Black Rock Preserve nearby — a 3,920-acre forest with lakes and streams, and habitat diversity. The house is an excellent example of the mid-Victorian "Second Empire" (1852-1870) exterior showing a mansard roof and overall ornate details. Its ele- gant roof hearkens to the French style mansard with its design of bold fish scale shingles and a va- riety of colors crea2ng pa3ern accents. The third- story windows bear curved, boldly den2l-molded lintels ornamen2ng the window buildouts, but en- joyment of life doesn't stop indoors in this gra- cious historic mansion.
