66 HOOK MAGAZINE | 2024 Now 53 years old, Rockland Photography Club has just started its 2024-25 season. They are a friendly group that loves making images and getting together to share them. Members shoot with all kinds of cameras – even iPhones – and have skills ranging from Beginner to Salon. The club has hybrid meetings -Zoom and in-person, twice a month. Scheduled are exciting speakers on a variety of subjects. They go on field trips and have mentoring. Rockefeller State Park Preserve (RSPP) call for digi- tal photos for NYS Parks Centennial Photo Exhibit . Submit 1 or 2 photos by Nov 1st that you took at the Preserve for 100th Anniversary Exhibition in the Art Gallery during Dec. Selected applicants will receive a framed print of their photo. Prints will also be available to purchase to raise funds for the Preserve. POCANTICO HILLS MARATHON — November 9th, 8 am-4 pm. This chal- lenging and beautiful course begins and ends at the Rockwood Hall section of the park, overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades.
