Their natural organic mixes of dried plants, spices, fruits, leaves and seeds touch our senses through the different seasons of the year. There are so many store bought options offered, especially during the Autumn and Winter Holidays, but most are made with faux dyes and perfume like some candles that are actually unhealthy. Nothing replaces the experience of all things real. Depending on the room, theme or oc- casion you can easily mix and prepare it. Whether you use fruits, leaves, flower petals, pine cones, bark and similar, it is important to dry them well to avoid mold growing. For the holiday season scents like cinnamon, orange and cloves are fa- vored by many and can easily be mixed with your own outdoor finds to create your unique holiday potpourri. Adding the last touch to the potpourri is in selecting your favorite, pure, essen- tial oil. A good quality organic oil is para- mount (make sure it is pure) and can be applied directly onto your dried pieces, but a better way is to mix it with a bit of water and fill it in a spray bottle (shake well before) and apply to your arrange- ment.
