Good
is
an
animal
rescue
facility,
shelter,
and
adop5on
agency
where
Rock-
land
County
animal
lovers
can
do
more
than
just
find
a
companion,
they
can
make
a
difference.
The
shelter
takes
in
animals
that
need
homes,
provides
medical
and
other
interven5ons,
secures
foster
care
when
needed,
and
finds
animals
new
homes
when
they
can.
Stray,
surrendered,
and
abandoned
or
found
by
police
or
animal
control
are
all
welcome.
"We
have
about
60
eligible
foster
families,"
said
Bernstein.
"People
love
it
and
get
very
a6ached.
Some
want
to
keep
a
few.
If
they
want
to
keep
a
pet,
they
have
to
go
through
our
adop5on
protocols,
but
they
get
the
pick
of
the
li6er.
Animals
that
are
rescued
from
the
street
have
a
wide
range
of
needs,
not
only
medical,
but
also
emo-
5onal
and
developmental.
To
address
these
issues,
Four
Legs
Good
relies
on
a
network
of
foster
families.
"kit-
tens
under
eight
weeks
are
in
their
most
vulnerable
stage
and
should
be
in
a
home
environment
rather
than
at
the
Shelter",
said
Execu5ve
Director
Dawn
Bernstein.
