2024 | HOOK MAGAZINE 31 When I sat down with the cheerful co-owners, their passion was sunny, energe5c, and tangible. Ponkshe declared, "My mother always said if you really love what you do, you make it as big as you want it to be... anyone is a source of power when they try." Before Ponkshe, previous full-5me lawyer, and Corr, pre- vious fashion designer in Cali- fornia, reuinted a%er working post-college, Ponkshe's mother, Rosita Gilsenan, founded and established the company in 1998. Gilsenan's legacy began with a bang when she brought War- wick's Demarest building back to life. What was once a va- cant, eerie void became a stunning, invi5ng showroom. She applied aesthe5c influ- ence from the stylings of her hometown in Ireland and im- proved upon the building's in- frastructure. The nineteenth century construc5on was in too poor condi5on to get fi- nancing at the 5me, but by using her own ingenuity and cash flow, it was restored as well as reenergizing the neigh- borhood. Upon comple5ng this heroic display while hon- oring the history and charm of colonial Warwick, she brought her talents into people's homes "More than that, we want to help people love where they live"— "It's of hugs and squeals of joy when people see their newly designed spaces for the first time".
