Coming home. It's a feeling that sparks magic in everyone.
Even though the concept of coming home is defined differently for all, it is o%en only by a hair's breadth. A mother's cooking, a
partner's arms — the scent of the pages of a leather bound book; all of these prompt a feeling of belonging and comfort.
For kitchen designers and co-owners of Gilsenan Designs, Roisin Ponkshe and Erin Corr, home is carpentry, jobsites, and DIY. It's
the smell of freshly cut wood, the buzz of a drill. It's of hugs and squeals of joy when people see their newly designed spaces for
the first 5me. That's because, for these two, taking the 5me to curate func5onal and beau5ful living spaces is the number one
priority.
As I walked through their brand new storefront, peaceful displays of shimmering countertops and rich cabinetry greeted me.
The bright yet soothing colorways on the back wall called me to enter and unwind. A cozy si7ng corner adorned with a great
gilded mirror from their next-door-neighbor Retro Modern An5ques nodded to the colonial charm of Warwick. Nothing about the
space pushed me to choose, but rather, invited me to play.
